Painted in acrylic and gouache and pastels on to watercolour board.

This was a joy to work on as using the pastels has allowed me to add colour of a beautiful vibrance.  They give a sketchy spontaneous feel to the work and colours of a contemporary nature which I have been looking to add to my wildlife paintings.They are used over the acrylics rubbing carefully developing soft tones and sometimes leaving raw for effect.

This has been enterd for the Royal academy of Arts Summer Exhibition 2012.
